Religious and Cultural Voices Meet in Madrid

A notable gathering in Madrid welcomed community leaders, news eurovision artists and experts in coexistence to mark the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, organised by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, focused on dialogue, tolerance and mutual understanding. The meeting included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and human rights educator Denise González. Speakers presented different experiences and viewpoints on how education can help build more inclusive communities.

Throughout the gathering, participants addressed themes such as tolerance, social cohesion and the prevention of discrimination. Fundación Mejora connected the initiative with Scientology’s focus on human dignity and social betterment. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, noted that cultural and religious diversity can become a strength when accompanied by mutual understanding and responsibility.
